A message to our clients:
We hope you’re all successfully coping with this crisis and steering clear of the risks presented by this novel virus. Despite the challenges we’re all facing, our subscribers continue to turn to Venn for insights and data-driven analysis. I wanted to take a minute to call out ways in which Venn has been helping investment teams get a handle on what's occurring with their managers and coordinate investment-related efforts across their teams.
Some of these features include1:
- Venncast: As coronavirus impacts the markets, get an estimate of how your portfolio has performed over the course of this volatile month, before you have updated returns from your managers
- Venn Investment Library: Centralize investor reports and returns in a cloud library, making them accessible across teams working from home and enabling better remote due diligence
- Drawdown Analysis: See if your portfolio, given its factor exposures today, could have been impacted by historical epidemics, like the 2002 SARS outbreak
- Scenario Analysis: Test how potential market shocks from coronavirus could impact your portfolio or specific investments in the future
- CMAs/Long-Term Forecasts: Update your go-forward capital market assumptions to take into account coronavirus impacts over extended timeframes, and see updated performance forecasts for any investment or portfolio
Coronavirus-driven product enhancements:
The Venn team has been working hard to make changes to the site to enable more timely insights. One key area of focus is our Factor Insights section. Here, we now offer “t-1” daily updates to factor performance so that you can understand and manage the factor movements that have occurred each morning. As always, you can also use this functionality to see how factor correlations have shifted with the global impact of coronavirus breaking historical relationships across risk factors
More to come
As we look ahead, we want to be a valuable partner to you as you work your way through this time. To that end, many of you attended our first Venn University - Coronavirus Webinar this morning. For those who missed it we have another scheduled for 4:00pm ET. To register click here.
We will be increasing the frequency of our Venn Factor Performance Alerts, from Monthly to Weekly, providing some commentary to guide a better understanding of the moves we’ve observed each week.
And lastly, for those of you looking for some 1-1 consultation, we’re also opening up office hours with members of our client success and product teams. If you’d like to sign up for a 30 minute call to walk through your portfolio or investments in Venn, please click here to schedule a session.
We know these are challenging times, and we hope Venn is well positioned to help you navigate this time of such wide-ranging uncertainty.
