Common Questions

What is the Venn connection to Two Sigma?
Two Sigma consistently heard from clients that existing risk tools failed to address the unique needs of allocators and managers of multi-asset portfolios. Venn was created in response to such client demands for greater insight into their factor exposures as they approached asset allocation and outside manager evaluation decisions.
What goes into our Factor Model?
Venn leverages the Two Sigma Factor Lens in our platform, which consists of 18 factors in four categories: Core Macro, Secondary Macro, Macro Style, and Equity Style. The factors in the Two Sigma Factor Lens were constructed with the aim of accurately and intuitively describing risk and return drivers in institutional investor portfolios.
What is Private Asset Lab?
Venn's Private Asset Lab is a robust extension to the Venn platform, designed to facilitate seamless multi-asset portfolio analysis. It unlocks private asset data including cash flow data for ~7,000 private asset funds, fund performance data for ~18,000 funds, and fund characteristics from ~80,000 fund profiles. Private Asset Lab is subject to additional fees.
What is Report Lab?
Venn's Report Lab is a template library and report customization tool that seamlessly integrates Venn metrics, graphics, and analytics. Use it to generate insightful and fully-archived client reporting. Report Lab is subject to additional fees.
